Ayodamola Tanimowo Okunseinde is a Nigerian-American artist and time-traveler living and working in NYC. He holds an M.F.A. in Design and Technology, and an M.A. in Anthropology from The New School. He has presented at the 11th Shanghai Biennale, Tribeca Storyscapes, Brooklyn Museum, and M.I.T. Beyond the Cradle. Okunseinde is an Assistant Professor of Interaction and Media Design at Parsons.

Working with movement artist and choreographer, Amir Hall, I will be developing How We Dance Our Way Back Home, an interdisciplinary VR performance ritual and digital experience that explores the Black soul, its historic endangerment and imagines its salvation. The project includes a masquerade performance with a VR installation component that represents two devotees of the deity Edana.
