Read To Me is an experimental multimedia poetry reading conceived and created by writer and CultureHub Resident Artist Maxwell Neely-Cohen. Max, who is primarily a novelist, is using Unity and Google Cloud's speech-to-text API to prototype a visual-poetic synthesizer that transfigures spoken words into visuals. Award-winning poets Rhiannon McGavin, Meghann Plunkett, Angel Nafis, and playwright Jeremy O. Harris will share their work within the environment.
Attendees are encouraged to bring books or choose from the artist's selection to navigate the prototypical space by reading aloud. Read To Me is free and open to the public with RSVP.
