Bauhaus Workshop for Modernity

Zoom & Livestream

6–8pm KST / 12–2pm CET / 5–7am ET

In just over a decade, Bauhaus artists left an indelible mark on every form of 20th century art. This workshop celebrates and pays tribute to that extraordinarily creative season, annihilated by Nazism in 1933, proposing a very particular reconstruction of the most famous interdisciplinary experiments of those years and showing how the roots of many of today’s masters of performing artists derive from this fertile breeding ground.

This event features Franco Laera, the Artistic Director of Change Performing Arts and Professor of Art and Media at UILM University in Milan (Italy). It will be moderated by Cecily Kwon, Professor of School of Foundational Studies and Director of International Relations at Seoul Institute of the Arts (Korea).

CultureHub invites artists from various fields from around the world to hold special lectures and workshops to share and develop knowledge and expertise in the arts and emerging socio-cultural fields. This session will introduce various interdisciplinary experiments in the field of visual theater influenced by the Bauhaus in Germany. All are welcome.

The lecture will be in English language with Korean translation. Participants may register via Zoom or watch the livestream on our Watch page.
