Why am I here? What am I doing? Devising it all for Company is a structured improvisation by CultureHub Resident Artist Valerie McCann that grapples with assumptions of self and other in performance. Live and pre-recorded sound and visual projections create a landscape for in-person and online audiences to accompany the artist as she navigates text(ure)s of isolation. Together we will be alone, therefore connected.
In-Person: Audiences at CultureHub LA will enter an environment that incorporates live sound and projections and will be free to move their position throughout the showing.
Livestream: Online audiences will experience a unique livestream version of the performance that integrates studio projection visuals and live sound. A large screen or in-home projector within a darkened space is encouraged. The link to watch will be on this event page at the time of the performance. Make yourself comfortable.
