Solidarity Through Sound and Time
Zoom
Thursday, March 24, 2022
2–5pm ET / 11am–2pm PT
Sliding Scale $10–$30
In this workshop, participants will have the unique chance to reconsider their ideas of what constitutes sound and music compositions. Throughout the day we are exposed to countless amounts of sounds and noises, but it is only valuable if we can isolate these specific sounds and separate their relationship from memory to their pure tonal structure.
This workshop is facilitated by Ivana Dama and Cliton Van Arnam and is presented in partnership with UCLA Art|Sci Center. Please note: participants must use their own smartphone or any other device with audio recording capabilities during the workshop.
Purchase a ticket to reserve your spot in this virtual workshop, which will be held on Zoom. There are free tickets for those experiencing financial hardship. To request a free ticket, please email refest@culturehub.org.
Accessibility: This workshop will include live automatic transcription via Zoom. An access coordinator will be present for access and technical support. Please contact access@culturehub.org for any access questions or further needs.
