John King (United States), Nana (France), and Mercedes Klausner (Argentina) extend their collaborative work around Alejandra Pizarnik’s poetry to merge with Syrian-Palestinian-American artist Leyya Mona Tawil. A live improvisation performance that through poetry, experimental music and drawing, will seek to cross boundaries of language, in a landscape of light and shadow.

John King and Leyya Mona Tawil will perform live from the studio at CultureHub NYC. Nana will perform live from Madrid, Spain. Mercedes Klausnerwill will perform live from Roubaix, France.

“Crystal Strings” / Love Songs for a Free Palestine
is presented by CultureHub as a part of Re–Fest. It will be streamed LIVE online at 1pm ET / 7pm CEST on Saturday June 8th. Watch it by navigating to the Re–Fest page and entering the virtual venue. Watch on a laptop or desktop using google chrome for the best experience.
