Futuring: A Zoo For Extinct Animals, is a first-of-its-kind interactive Holo Zoo created by Resident Artist Caco Peguero. In the initial launch, Peguero virtually brought back three animals from extinction: The Japanese Sea Lion, the California Grizzly Bear, and the Western Black Rhino. These animals were introduced to their new virtual homes, and projected on fabric in an installation at the CultureHub LA studio. Attendees were able to interact with the animals through a server accessed by QR code displayed at the installation, where they could send the animals food and positive vibes.
