Sadah Espii Proctor is an award-winning composer/sound artist and multimedia director working in live performance, installations, and immersive experiences. Her work centers around themes of memory and diaspora, social issues, and presence within physical/digital/virtual spaces. Michael Leibenluft is a multilingual, Obie Award-winning director and producer of theater/film and the Artistic Director of Gung Ho Projects. Michael and Espii began collaborating with fellow Queer artists Pao-chang Tsai (Taiwan) and Byungkoo Ahn (South Korea) in 2021 to create a series of installations exploring historic cruising sites around the world.

We are creating an AR + sound walk exploring the history of cruising in the Ramble in Central Park, which has been a major site of gay and Queer gathering since the early 20th century. This will be the first in a global series of sound walks in historic cruising sites that will delicately and gracefully bring these spaces, and the LGBTQ+ communities that occupy them, into a new light, replacing shame and secrecy with a celebration of sexual liberation and open desire.
